Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience
A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing plaintiff or defense personal injury files, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from filing through trial
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Coordinate medical record and billing requests
- Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and case-related documents
- Prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial
- Maintain case calendars and track litigation deadlines
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses
- Assist with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and document management
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury law
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Experience managing litigation deadlines and case progression
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple matters and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred
- Personal injury plaintiff or defense litigation experience
- Trial preparation experience
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
